National Civil Rights Museum

Memphis, Tennessee

In early 2017, Lisa Kristine’s ENSLAVED photographs were shown at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, a Smithsonian Affiliate. The museum is built at the historic Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, and its story runs from slavery to the present.

Human Thread’s exhibitions list says the exhibition was launched by museum director Noelle Trent. Lisa spoke at the museum during the run.
