
FRIEDERIKE (KIKI) LINDENAU
Kiki Lindenau is a committed advocate in the global fight against human trafficking, currently serving as the Managing Director of the Human Thread Foundation. Born in Germany and having lived on four continents, she brings a truly global perspective to her work, with a deep understanding of diverse cultures and human rights challenges. Her leadership is focused on relaunching the Human Thread Foundation, setting its mission, vision, and strategic goals to drive impactful campaigns against modern slavery.
Kiki has extensive experience working in anti-trafficking advocacy. At Freedom United, she managed global awareness campaigns, organized webinars on pressing modern slavery issues, and represented the organization in international coalitions. Her previous role at Free the Slaves saw her coordinating regional and global conferences, working closely with survivors to ensure their voices were central in anti-trafficking efforts.
In her role as Managing Director, Kiki has been instrumental in the foundation’s relaunch, co-leading the development of its strategic plan and launching new initiatives aimed at raising awareness and driving systemic change.
Kiki holds a BA in International Relations and International Organization from the University of Groningen and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL. Her academic background, coupled with her international experience, has shaped her into a strategic and compassionate leader in the fight against modern slavery.
